"Better to be lucky than good." -- my personal physician
Thanks for the link, it's nice to be reminded that this is the way most men actually think in the Western world these days.
There's always that guy in the comments though.

Note I will no longer post such comments in my blog, BTW. This is not a public forum. My blog = my moderation. In fact, I am learning to delete them before I even read them. I need to harness my energies and I just don't have the time or spirit to let idiots batter away at me.
Ah, that's good. But I hadn't meant those idiots, although they are a special type of idiots.I was meaning the guy in the comments of the Mancave article, blathering about how when women say they are better because of their gender, they are called "strong, independent women". And his example was Anita Sarkeesian. Lol.
Obviously a white knight who has been feminised since the day he was born. I feel sorry for how unmanly he really is.
I'm beginning to look at misogyny as a symptom of mental illness or at the very least, a personality disorder. It always seems to be accompanied by a whole host of other nasty behaviours.
Thanks for the link, it's nice to be reminded that this is the way most men actually think in the Western world these days. This is so funny and completely judgmental. How as a woman do you know this is what most guys think? Men adapt. Ever thought they may just be telling you what you want to hear for their own ends and think something completely different. Just a thought.
Lol, women are trained from a young age to question a guy's motives. So, yes, the question of whether a man may just be telling you what you want to hear for their own ends is something we think about. One has to ask though, would a blog named "Man Cave" have women as a target audience? Probably not. Are they tossing a bone to women lurkers. Could be. As in all things, observation.
@AnonymousI admit I cannot actually see inside the souls of men, I'm sorry if I came across as making such a claim. However I've been reading a little too much of the embittered, blinkered garbage spewed out by manosphere denizens of late, and therefore found it refreshing to read something more typically blokey, that reflects the men I've known and seen in popular culture. Of course it is possible that all men who appear to be non-misogynistic, intelligent and well rounded are in fact skillful image crafters who maintain a constant facade to the world, purely to get sex from women they secretly loath and despise. Yes, it is, possible.
Hi. Just dropping by. I love your blog.
"Just visiting": please don't insult people with mental illness by equating being a jerk to having mental illness.
I didn't read 'Just Visiting's comment as equating mental illness with being a jerk. If I say a person who is unpleasant and anti-social has possible mental health issues, and I say this with some evidence, that does not mean I am saying all people with mental health issues are unpleasant. Mental illness affects a diverse range of people, and some of those people aren't very nice, and there's nothing wrong with pointing that out.
I'm not. Quite seriously, the most vocal misogynists that I've met in real life are medicated, either prescription or self medicating, or confirmed personality disorder. Doesn't mean that everyone with mental illness or a personality disorder is a misogynist, but I haven't met a vocal misogynist who didn't have one or the other.
And I'll be clear, I'm talking about misogyny, not dickishness or even sexist ideas.
Cinzia, I just connected to your blog via PZM and very glad. As a middle aged man with older sisters and three daughters, I am embarrassed for these "men". Clearly, they have socialization issues or maybe have spent to much time fondling their ineptitude.Cinzia, keep up the good work!-Got your back in Indiana-
Cinzia, another new visitor from PZM's blog. You sound brave and your words are funny so I'm looking forward to making this a regular stop. Thanks for putting yourself out there.
